Morukuru is situated on the Eastern side of the Madikwe Game reserve which is located in the North West Province of South Africa. It spans over 75000 hectares offeringthe guests a premier safari and wildlife destination. It is a malaria-free reserve and one of the biggest national parks in South Africa. It can be found between the Botswana border and the area made famous by the South African writer Herman Charles Bosman called the Groot Marico. This portfolio of lodges has focussed more on the development of bush villas rather than the traditional lodge layout making it ideal for families who want to feel like they are at home in the bush!

Lions Roaring in the Madikwe Game Reserve

This is the second in our new monthly feature of wildlife videos. Lions are featured again this month, with footage of two majestic males roaring in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. The Lions' repertoire of vocalisations is large and varies in intensity and pitch. Lions tend to roar in a very characteristic manner, starting with a few deep, long roars that trail off into a series of shorter ones and this is beautifully captured in this short piece of footage.
