There are rules to remember from this:
1. Never irritate a frightened cat, whether it is a leopard, a lion…whatever the animal may be, don’t play around with WILD creatures! And never poke an angry wild cat with a stick! 
2. Always make sure your windows are rolled up while observing dangerous animals on your safari. You just never know what their reactions may be.
3. Stay calm at all times. I know this is easier said than done, but by losing your temper it happens to make things even worse! If the ranger had stayed calm he may have been able to roll up his window before the leopard’s attack.
My jaw literally dropped while watching this. Makes you remember how powerful wild cats can be.

You're absolutely right, leopards are very quick, although not the quickest! What makes them incredibly unpredictable is their agility & suppleness. They are especially dangerous when wounded, cornered or persistently annoyed.
