Five Botswana safari moments I’ll never forget [Photo Blog]

So there I was, on an overland adventure of a lifetime heading through Africa’s safari central – Botswana. I have never experienced such an abundance of natural beauty before. Every moment was simply a nature-lover’s bliss…

1. The Okavango Delta

Venturing off into the Okavango Delta on nothing but a mokoro was most definitely one of my safari highlights.

2. Chobe River Boat Cruise

We headed off on a Chobe River boat cruise late afternoon and watched as a herd of elephants gathered by the waterside preparing to cross the river. What a beautiful scene!

3. Catching Tiger Fish in the Chobe River

We headed out onto the water before sunrise so that we could try our hand at catching tiger fish as the sun (and appetites) came out… I had so much fun – those tiger fish really put up a thrilling fight. Catch and release of course!

4. Botswana’s Sunset

As I watched the sun sink behind a strip of Botswana’s Chobe River, I honestly felt my heart swell up. The colours the sky painted for us were simply amazing. It was a moment I’ll never forget.

5. Sunrise in Chobe National Park

On a game drive out of Chobe National Park after spending an evening bush camping, we came across the most stunning morning scene. The photo says it all…
